Account Manager

Purpose:
At Lola Red, we make brands impossible to ignore. As an Account Manager, you’ll be the engine behind delivering high-impact creative PR campaigns for 3 – 4 client accounts. You will transform strategy into execution, managing the details, building strong client relationships, and ensuring every campaign drives measurable results.

While your primary focus is client work, you’ll also support the growth of junior team members through hands-on guidance and contribute occasionally to Lola Red’s own marketing efforts. This role is ideal for a strategic, resourceful communicator who thrives on producing excellent work and strengthening client trust day after day.

Focus Areas:

  • 50% Strategic Campaign Execution
    Lead day-to-day planning and execution of PR, influencer, and social media campaigns for 3–4 client accounts. Ensure all work aligns with client KPIs, brand voice, and business goals while driving measurable results.

  • 25% Client Relationship Management
    Serve as a primary point of contact for clients, building trust through proactive communication, strong counsel, and consistent delivery of high-quality work that exceeds expectations.

  • 15% Team Guidance & Mentorship
    Support the growth of entry-level team members by providing clear direction, constructive feedback, and coaching on best practices in media relations, project management, and client service

  • 10% Lola Red Marketing Support
    Contribute to Lola Red’s brand presence through marketing initiatives, including drafting content, coordinating speaking or awards opportunities, and supporting agency social channels.

Responsibilities:

Strategic Campaign Execution

  • Lead planning, development, and execution of integrated PR campaigns across 3 - 4 client accounts

  • Develop strategic briefs, timelines, and content plans that align with client business objectives and KPIs

  • Lead creation of messaging, press materials, and influencer proposals to secure ensure brand alignment and campaign success

  • Track performance against KPIs, analyze results, and provide actionable insights to optimize campaigns

Client Relationship Management

  • Serve as a day-to-day client contact, managing communications, setting expectations, and ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships rooted in trust, transparency, and results

  • Anticipate client needs, surface opportunities, and proactively bring new ideas to strengthen partnerships

  • Present campaign plans, reports, and recommendations in client meetings with clarity and confidence

Team Guidance & Mentorship

  • Provide daily support and direction to junior team members on your accounts, helping them develop strong executional skills

  • Review and edit team deliverables to ensure accuracy, brand alignment, and strategic intent

  • Offer constructive feedback and mentorship to help junior team members grow into confident PR professionals

Lola Red Marketing Support

  • Support Lola Red’s own marketing initiatives, contributing ideas, content, and execution support to elevate the agency’s profile

  • Assist with agency social media, speaking opportunities, awards submissions, and case study development.

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in public relations, communications, or influencer marketing, with a strong focus on day-to-day campaign execution

  • 2–3+ years of agency experience preferred, managing multiple accounts and balancing competing priorities

  • Demonstrated success building and maintaining strong client relationships rooted in trust, proactive communication, and measurable results

  • Proven ability to develop and execute integrated PR, influencer, and social campaigns that meet business objectives

  • Solid media relations skills, with experience securing coverage across local, regional, and national outlets

  • Strong project management skills — able to manage budgets, timelines, and deliverables while maintaining attention to detail

  • Experience mentoring or providing guidance to junior team members on deliverables and best practices

  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

  • Comfortable working in a collaborative, and flexible environment

Purpose:

The Account Director is a client-centered strategist and team leader responsible for owning a book of business, setting the vision for each account, and delivering results that grow client relationships and drive impact. This role balances high-level thinking with day-to-day leadership, serving as both a trusted advisor to the client and an operational driver for the team. The Account Director ensures each account is delivering against client goals while maintaining profitability and creative excellence.

Focus Areas:

  • 50% Client Leadership & Strategic Direction
    Own 3 – 4 key client accounts, lead strategic planning, and build long-term partnerships that drive measurable business outcomes and client retention.

  • 25% Team Leadership & Development
    Manage, mentor, and develop account teams, providing guidance, feedback, and growth opportunities to ensure high performance and a healthy, collaborative culture.

  • 15% Agency Growth & Innovation
    Contribute to agency positioning through thought leadership, new business development, and identifying growth opportunities within existing accounts.

  • 10% High-Level Media & Influencer Oversight
    Provide senior counsel on media strategy, oversee relationships with top-tier press and influencers, and guide teams to deliver breakthrough coverage.

Responsibilities:

Client Strategy & Growth

  • Serve as the senior strategic advisor for each account, guiding vision, priorities, and positioning

  • Lead quarterly/annual planning and present bold, insight-driven ideas that move client businesses forward

  • Build and nurture executive-level relationships with client stakeholders

  • Proactively identify opportunities to grow accounts and expand scopes of work

  • Oversee budgets, contracts, and profitability while ensuring operational excellence

Team Leadership

  • Lead a team of 2 – 4 cross-functional members across assigned accounts

  • Provide strategic oversight while empowering Account Managers to own day-to-day execution

  • Offer ongoing coaching, performance feedback, and mentorship to develop talent

  • Support hiring, onboarding, and performance review processes

  • Foster a positive, collaborative, and accountable team culture

Agency Impact

  • Collaborate with leadership to shape agency offerings, thought leadership, and marketing efforts

  • Participate in new business pitches and proposal development

  • Maintain senior-level media and influencer relationships to enhance the agency’s reputation and influence

  • Provide counsel and oversight during high-stakes or crisis communications moments

What You Bring

  • 8+ years of experience in PR, influencer, or communications strategy, including direct client relationship management

  • Proven ability to lead integrated accounts and drive measurable results

  • Strong earned media and influencer relationships with a history of securing high-impact coverage and partnerships, especially for consumer brands in technology and multi-unit development

  • Strategic thinker with the ability to zoom in on execution while zooming out on client vision

  • Experience managing and mentoring teams in a dynamic, collaborative environment

  • Crisis communication experience strongly preferred

  • Comfortable managing budgets, contracts, and vendor relationships
